About Me

Hello there! My name is Kylie Vaillancourt.

I am a 20 years old.

I’m from Brampton, Ontario.

I am currently enrolled in my third year of the Journalism: Print & Broadcast program at Humber College. In all honestly, I didn’t know what I exactly wanted to do in the program at first and at times I’m still unsure exactly what direction I would like to go in at the moment but I’m strongly leaning towards broadcast. I really enjoy working behind the scenes and helping produce a show. It intrigues me. I’m still enjoy the other work I’m currently doing.  But to this day, I’ve had many stories posted to the school’s online news site, humbernews.ca, a couple stories posted in the school paper and in my first year at the school, I had three of my Remembrance Day photos posted in it as well.

Growing up, I enjoying doing whatever I did at the time. I never had my heart set on one thing because I enjoyed doing everything — well, most of the time. I enjoyed playing sports (and still do, I just don’t have the time to do it) and just having fun doing something that can be competitive. In late elementary school, I developed a passion for Photography. To this day, I still have this passion. There’s just something about it that I enjoy and makes me happy. I guess I just enjoy capturing my memories and being able to look at something and reflect on it just incase I were to ever forget.
